Back to work
it's truly a privilege to work with something we love, and I am indeed lucky to work not only in my dream job but for an amazing institution. as soon as I could walk without wellchair I was anxious to go bacl to work. As an art photographer at Lisbon's Gulbenkian Museum, I had the chance to spend amazing moments with some incredible works of art. It´s not every day you can work with a Manet a Rodin or a Lalique , photographe a anvient gold greek coin before changing al setup to acomade a beauthiful egiptian Funerary mask, and change all over again to shoot a a sculpture of Auguste rodin. this was part of my everyday life as a photographer for the Gulbenkian Foundation, and I truly missed it. I also missed my coworkers, with whom I had built a close friendship and rapport over the years. They welcomed me back with open arms and full support, allowing me to take my time adjusting to my new condition. I had total flexibility for my daily physical therapy sessions and always had a helping hand at my side thanks to the Foundation's unwavering support for my new condition. I must emphasize again that we must be gratful be for our blessings, and I’m trully grateful to Gulbenkian Fundation and all the colleagues I left there. Unfortunately, internal reorganization caused my closer team to be divided between the founfers museum collection and the contemporary and modern art centre in the renovated building of Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian (CAM) and the . I must admit that I love working with my team; we had a great energy together, so it was sad to move away. HowevI had the oportunity to buil a new one from the ground up, with a new building a new studio a new photo departmentthat was really motivating.
